What we ship.

Every app we publish is developed in-house by Last Layover LLC and released under the studio's name.

Untilt

Bill splitting for iOS and Android · Free · No account required

Untilt splits shared expenses between a group of people without asking anyone to make an account. You create a group, share a link or QR code, and everyone adds what they spent. It works with no connection at all, and syncs through a relay that only ever handles encrypted data.

What it does

  • No account, ever. No email, no phone number, no password. A group lives behind a private link you share with the people in it.
  • Fully offline. Add and edit expenses with no signal; changes queue on the device and upload themselves when you reconnect.
  • End-to-end encrypted sync. The encryption key travels in the fragment of the invite link, which browsers never send to a server. The relay stores ciphertext it cannot read.
  • Any currency. Enter an amount in the currency you actually paid in. Untilt converts to the group's home currency at a rate you can edit, including historical rates for past dates, and freezes it so old expenses never drift.
  • Four ways to split. Equally, by exact amounts, by shares, or itemized straight off a receipt — with support for more than one payer on a single expense.
  • Balances and settle-up. See who owes whom, either simplified into the fewest transfers or in full, then record the settlements.

Built for trips

  • Receipts. Attach a photo and itemize from it, so a shared dinner splits line by line instead of down the middle.
  • Multiple groups. A trip, a flat, and a recurring dinner can run side by side without mixing.
  • Comments and history. Every expense can be discussed, edited, or deleted, and the group sees what changed.
  • Categories. Tag expenses so it is clear afterward where the money actually went.
  • Multilingual. Localized, because the people on a trip are not always from the same place.

What we are working on

Untilt is the first of a set of apps aimed at the same problem from different angles: the practical friction of being away from home.

Travel and travel-adjacent

The studio's focus is tools for trips — planning them, paying for them, and dealing with what happens when they do not go to plan.

The same constraints

Anything new we ship holds the line on the three rules: private by default, useful with no connection, and small enough to actually finish.

Built here

Design and engineering both happen in-house. We are not reselling or white-labeling someone else's software.
